We don't fall into that age bracket where we would go to any length to collect the most trending gadgets and gizmos, or make a beeline to a store as soon as a quirky new tech product hits the market. However, an edible delight managed to catch our eye. With tech fever reaching inexplicable levels among bachchas, could a chocolate-inspired idea not be far behind?

Latching on to the trend, the folks at a popular patisserie and café in Lower Parel decided to go ahead and create a Chocolate iPad. Made from pure chocolate (of the dark, bittery variety that we love), we were greeted with a giant slab; it impressed with its façade that replicated the iPad - from colour picks to text and fonts.
We were a tad apprehensive that it might taste odd or plastic-like, but one bite into the iPad, and we were sold. Every component is edible. In no time, curious office colleagues (especially the geeky variety) took a shine to the idea, and were set to get one for themselves, and their kids as well.
With gadgets an intrinsic part of the urban Indian kid's lifestyle, this innovative chocolate surprise might add to a touch of sweetness to Children's Day.
