As much as we like to stay away from sugar and bad carbs, there are occasions when we just can't keep temptation at bay. One such relatively new sweet bait that caught our fancy is Patisserie at The Club Mumbai, Andheri. On offer are cakes, muffins, fresh breads and dips too. We tried one of each category, with the orange travel cake wowing us at the start.

Now, citrusy fruits always make for good baking ingredients with their natural freshness, but the moist texture of this cake made it even more appealing to our palate. And a contrast to the orange cake was the double chocolate muffin, a delicious indulgence which, with its chocolate centre and heavy dose of chocolate chips, made us forget the calorie-counting.

For a quick bite, you can pick their granola, which with its solid crunch satiated our evening-snack craving. And those who love red velvet can try their convenient verrine version, which was light, just as we like it. Finally, from the breads, we tried the honey raisin and pistachio loaf, which tasted perfect with a sweet biscuit dip as well as with a cheesy paprika dip that we had in our kitchen.
