The Laughter Chapter, a new quick-bite eatery in Mulund offers good food, but the service needs a courtesy check

The Laughter Chapter
Food: Good
Service: Rude
Ambiance: Appealing
Located a stone's throw from Mulund College of Commerce, we noticed a new eatery in the central suburb, The Laughter Chapter. They are named so, because they aim to make people happy with good food and good vibes, we were told.
The menu offers fast food such as sandwiches, nachos and fries, in addition to basic pasta and pizza options. And the pricing is pocket-friendly (Rs 100 for pasta and Rs 40 for fries). Within the first month of its launch, the eatery appears to be doing good business.
Keen to get a sense of this vibe, we dropped by one evening. The interiors are pleasant with a cheery yellow counter to greet you as you enter. We began proceedings with a Caramel Coffee Shake (Rs 110) and a Mexican Fiesta Pizza (Rs 150). The coffee turned out to be slurp-i-licious, and complimented the thin-crust pan pizza (we were unable to find anything 'Mexican' in it).

We were still hungry, and so instead of opting for loaded fries we chose The Mexican Bowl (Rs 130). Spiced rice topped with beans, sour cream and crumbled nachos, the rice bowl is a good option if you wish to have a meal here.

Eager to try more options we attempted to place an order but were rudely rebuked (by one of the owners [we think]) who tersely stated that we had been forewarned about orders not being entertained after 9.30 pm. This was inexcusable behaviour, since no such prior warning was given to us. It's ironic how a place that hard sells the idea of a good, happy vibe actually needs a lesson on how to live their theme.
