Be Berry Berry Quiet, We be Jamun', Smoothie Criminalâ¦we love a good pun., especially when they have to do with wholesome, delicious smoothies. Vibe Liquiteria is the newest health bar in the city, dishing up smoothies, salads and artisanal teas.
Drink up because their smoothies are delicious. Ashvem Sunset (Rs 399) is a good fruit punch packed with avocado, pomegranate, berries and pineapple. It's a drink that gave us a different flavour and texture with every sip - creamy avocado, citrusy pineapple and crunchy pomegranate. The Lean Green Clean (Rs 325) is what we would have after a weekend of binging. The smoothie was filling and had a strong pineapple taste and a mild sourness from berries. The Bro Bro Smoothie (Rs 350) is meant for gym-goers, packed with healthy stuff like cacao, peanut butter, protein powder, dates, bananas and nut milk. We opted for the addition of whey, which gave it a cloying milky taste.
Lean Green Clean
Among the small plates, we loved the fresh tofu, steamed endamame and soft mushrooms drizzled with miso and a punchy wasabi in My Japanese Girlfriend (R425). The Republic of Zoodles (R325) was a crunchy salad with spiralised zucchini and carrots and raw papaya and loaded with a nutty sauce and a few too many peanuts. Kale Ceasar Wale (R375) had the spiciest Chicken 65 we've tasted, which combined with the spicy vegan cream overpowered the vegetables and ruined the salad. Vibe is ideal for healthy eaters but for others like us, it is good for a quick, tasty detox.
