If you can tie a knot, then try your luck with the Arabic art form of macramé, a fun way of using a few basic knots to make chic boho decor. The workshop, which will be organised by Mumbai-based expert Vidhula, will teach participants how to make patterns using different knotting techniques.
The primary knots of macramé are the square or reef knot invented by sailors, used especially in elaborate or ornamental knotting forms, to cover knife handles, bottles and parts of ships. You will start with the cavandoli macramé, which is used to make geometric and free-form patterns. It's a single knot followed by the double half-hitch knot.
