Wear your cleaning gloves
While the municipality has banned the use of plastic, here's a way to do your bit to help the city some more. Next weekend, brave the rains and join the Mahim beach cleanup squad. Active citizen groups are ensuring that the plastic menace in beaches is tackled in a systematic way. And one such effort is the Mahim Beach clean-up, now in its 45th week. The garbage collected from the shore makes its way to a recycling unit, thus reducing the dumping in the landfills. Join this weekly initiative and be part of this sunshine story in the making.
