Kids cycle at Ralleyz Pit Stop. Pics/Sameer Markande
The last of what's left of Mumbai's pleasant weather can be put to use to take kids to open spaces and let them hone their riding skills. At the outdoor Ralleyz Pit Stop at Jio World Drive, Hamley's has designed a fun little track where you can test a range of bicycles for children of all age groups. We test drove a Ralleyz magical unicorn cycle (purple and pink) for six-year-old Faria, and Ralleyz squadron wildfire cycle (orange and black) for eight-year-old Ashaz. The 200-feet riding pathway was full of bends and turns, which the two riders successfully negotiated.
The staff helped the kids pick their bikes, wear safety gear, get on the trail and stay on track as well. They even raced with the kids and allowed them to win, making it a heady and memorable experience. The path takes you through a nature trail with rocks, a pond, and bumps, and gentle speed breakers along the route that exhilarate the senses.

While we did feel that the path should have included a longer route for the kids to fully enjoy the experience, we know that most children in Mumbai city would lap up any opportunity to ride through nature, even if it is a faux set-up. Drop by with your young ones this week, sign up, pick a bike and let the adrenaline kick in!
