Summer is the ideal time to introduce kids to creative adventures. With this intention, Raell Padamsee and her team at Ace Productions have returned with a whole new set of ideas to stir inspiration and encourage expression in the minds of keen children.
This summer, they have introduced with a series called Come fly with me, a 10-session multi-sensory programme, which includes virtual tours to Greece, Switzerland, New York, Iceland and Turkey. Here, participants will be introduced to these locations through mime, playlets, theatre games, costumes, prop creation, rehearsal techniques and performances. "We aim to provide experiential learning to kids through improvised techniques that we have developed over three decades.
These processes will help kids to think out of the box and come up with different ideas while interacting with other kids of their age around the globe," shares Padamsee. The workshop enables four-to-13-year-olds to discover and express themselves creatively and freely as individuals. At the end of the workshop, they will be part of a performance where they will manifest their learned lessons in their unique way.
"Drama has no limits and can offer countless opportunities and outcomes," she signs off.
