This weekend's Jnana Ganga Sangeet Mahotsav organised by AIM for Seva and Pancham Nishad will bring together 11 renowned Indian classical artistes to help educate children in rural India.
Shankar Mahadevan who will perform the closing act of the event, is all praise for the NGO's measures. "I will be performing music that makes Indian hearts beat. This includes Bollywood, folk and more," he says.
Sheela Balaji, chairperson and managing trustee, AIM for Seva, sums up, "The aim is to seek support of individuals, foundations and corporates aligned to our cause for our upcoming projects."
