'Arrested BSF jawan was helping terrorist'

Delhi cops say Head Constable Abdul Rasheed was trying to get a posting in the border areas so that he could pass on information to assist infiltration of terrorists


New Delhi: Officials from Delhi police yesterday said ISI agent Kafaitullah Khan's accomplice Border Security Force (BSF) Head Constable Abdul Rasheed was trying to get a posting in the border areas so that he could pass on the information to Pakistani handler and help in the infiltration of terrorists.

"They used code words while talking to accomplices on the phone.

They were also trying to get the BSF jawan (Rasheed) posted in border areas so that he can help in the infiltration of terrorists," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav told reporters.

"Joint interrogation by the Crime Branch of Delhi police, intelligence agencies, MP police and BSF is underway.

The MP police is also interrogating as he (Khan) was on his way to Bhopal."
