Alleged rape victim burns perpetrator to death

The woman caught hold of Bhola Thakur allegedly after he had outraged her modesty Monday night at her home and poured kerosene on him before allegedly setting him on fire with a matchstick, the sources said.

Thakur died on the spot, they said, adding the body has been sent for post-mortem.

The woman, who was trying to flee after fatally setting the suspected rapist on fire, was arrested by the police yesterday, the sources said.

The deceased man's wife has lodged a case against the woman for the murder of her husband, they added.u00a0
