Panaji: A woman was arrested today for allegedly manhandling a policeman and a woman constable at Panaji Police Station where she had come to lodge a complaint.
An offence has been registered against Farida Bi, 35, after she created ruckus at Panaji Police Station here and was later arrested, inspector Siddhanth Shirodkar said.
According to complaint lodged by Shirodkar, Farida Bi allegedly pushed him and another woman constable at the police station while she was being asked by the officials to behave properly.
The officer said the woman's act was recorded on the CCTV camera installed inside the police station. Farida Bi had approached the police to lodge a complaint against a local youth.

Later, a sub-inspector was sent for investigations but she was apparently not happy. She again visited the police station, stating that she was not satisfied with the investigations and began accusing the policemen, he said.
A case under IPC Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 427 (mischief) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) has been registered against the woman, he added.
