Police Friday arrested one of the men who had kidnapped seven-year-old Ashish Pandey. The accused took police to the spot in Mirzapur, where they had dumped his body after killing him.
The kidnapper, Pawan, told police that they had killed Ashish the very day he was kidnapped by him and three of his accomplices.
Senior Superintendent of Police R.K. Chaturvedi told IANS that police had recovered the decomposed body along with his clothes and a handkerchief. He added that three kidnappers were still at large and a manhunt was on to nab them.
Pawan told police he planned the kidnapping along with Mukesh Kumar Kol and Guddu. They strangled Ashish in a moving car out of the fear of being arrested. They dumped the body in a thicket near Bhainswar Balia village in Mirzapur.
