A 28-year-old maid was raped by a businessman at his house on the pretext of providing her a job, police said on Sunday
New Delhi: A 28-year-old maid was raped by a businessman at his house on the pretext of providing her a job, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on November 17 in Mehrauli area of south Delhi.
Police said the woman, who works as a maid in some houses in Mehrauli, was contacted by businessman Monu Kumar on her mobile phone, asking her for a maid to take care of his house.
"When the maid reached the businessman's house, the latter raped her on the pretext of providing her a job," a police official said.
Following a police complaint by the woman, the 27-year-old businessman -- who deals in crockery -- was arrested from his house.
