Spurned by girl, conductor commits suicide in bus

Tirunelveli: Upset over the marriage of a girl who spurned his love, a 25-year old conductor of a private transport bus allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the vehicle today, police said.

Manikaraj was in love with the girl who was a regular traveller in the bus. But the girl treated him only as a friend and got married to another person recently, they said.

Manikaraj was suffering from depression since the girl's marriage and ended his life by hanging himself in the parked bus at Rayagiri Bus stand in the district, police said.
