Three men arrested in separate incidents for illegal arms possession

Faraskhana police have arrested two youths, while the anti-dacoity squad of the Crime Branch nabbed another youngster on charges of possessing illegal firearms, which they were attempting to sell in Pune to criminals


The duo arrested by Faraskhana police officers have been identified as Prabhakar Sheshnath Chaudhary (27), resident of Dhayari, and Sajjan Laddan Khan (25), of Hadapsar -- both natives of Uttar Pradesh.

Police Inspector Bhanupratap Barge, of Faraskhana police station, said, "We have recovered six live cartridges along with the firearm from Chaudhary's possession."

The person arrested by the Crime Branch has been identified as Ramesh Vilas Gholap (22), a resident of PMC Colony in Swargate.

"Gholap had procured the weapon from a person named Arjun who hails from Kolkata and the accused was attempting to sell the weapon in the city," said Police Inspector Raghunath Phuge from the Crime Branch.u00a0
