A man has been arrested for allegedly killing a speech and hearing-impaired person and dumping his body by the roadside near Naigaon railway station on December 20.
The body of Sunil Tiwari (35), a native of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, was found on the evening of December 20, after which a probe began.
Within 72 hours, the crime branch officials from unit 2 of MBVV police solved the case and caught the 21-year-old accused from Naigaon, who was later identified as Yaswardhan Jha (21).

Searching over hundreds of CCTV footage from railway stations to the spot where the dead body was found got the clue and saw the deceased walking and boarding an auto along with the accused, with the help of locals, auto drivers and informers we caught the accused today from Naigaon area, said an officer from crime branch.
During the search, we found a certificate and cards due to which the identity of the dead body was revealed as Sunil Tiwari. According to the certificate, Tiwari was deaf and mute.
Reached LTT Terminus from Jaunpur and took the local train for Nalasopara from Dadar stations Jha met Tiwari at Borivali station. After meeting Tiwari, Jha came to know that he is deaf and mute and coming from the village, he will have a lot of money. On the pretext of helping to reach his brother's house, Jha took him to an isolated place near Naigaon station and tried to run away after stealing his bag. Tiwari tried stopping Jha after which a scuffle broke out between the duo. Meanwhile, Jha strangulated Tiwari with a towel.
When he searched the bag after killing Tiwari, found less than Rs 1,000 and Jha escaped from the spot, the officer added.
During the interrogation, Jha confessed to the crime. Further investigation revealed that he has studied till class 12 and was learning a film editing course. Jha was living with his sisters and mother in the Naigaon area.
Jha has been booked and arrested under the various sections of IPC. He was produced before the court and was remanded to police custody, said another officer.
