In a shocking incident, two unidentified men allegedly attacked RTI activist in Virar area of Maharashtra, the police said.
The RTI activist was identified as Mobin Shaikh, 42.
Miraculously, the bullet missed Shaikh and struck his house wall after it was fired from the window of his home, an official said.
Both attackers fled the scene, prompting the police to recover the bullet and launch an investigation, the official said.

The police said two unidentified men fired a bullet at his house. Fortunately, Shaikh escaped unharmed as the bullet hit the wall.
The incident follows a previous acid attack on Shaikh, sources added.
Residing in Ashiyana society at Gopcharpada in Virar East, Shaikh faced the attack on Monday, January 15, around 7:30 am, while he was at home. An unknown man knocked on his door, accompanied by another person standing outside his house window. As Shaikh approached the door, the unknown man fired a shot, the police said.
A police official stated that the authorities are checking the CCTV footage to trace the shooters. Shaikh, already a victim of a previous acid attack, managed to escape unscathed in this recent incident. While the community experienced fear after the attack, the police said, adding that the situation in the area is now under control.
