The Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has seized drugs worth over Rs 2.25 crore from four locations on Tuesday and Wednesday. Seven accused were arrested and Rs 2,37,000 cash was seized. A woman and two foreigners are among those arrested.
According to the Bandra unit of ANC, Anwar Sayyed was arrested from Juna Nagardas Road in Andheri, and 510 grams of mephedrone (MD) was found in his possession. It is worth Rs 1.2 crore.
The Ghatkopar ANC also seized MD worth Rs 81,75,000 and arrested three people. They were identified as Mudassar Shaikh, 24 and Shahnoor Patel, 30. During their interrogation it was found that they used to buy drugs from African citizens who live in Nalasopara. The police then raided a place in Nalasopara and arrested Uche Chukyu, 36, and recovered 500 grams MD from him.
The Azad Maidan ANC unit seized 132 grams cocaine worth Rs 39,60,000 in the third location. The name of the arrested accused is Ifni Poyus, 24, he is a Nigerian citizen and lives in Nalasopara.

The ANC's Worli unit arrested two people, including a woman, with 12 kg ganja. The value of the seized ganja is Rs 2,40,000. Those arrested include Kushal Dongre, 35, and Bilkis Shaikh, 49. Police also found Rs 2,37,000 cash in Shaikh's house.
DCP (ANC) Datta Nalawade told mid-day, "In the past two days, ANC has raided four locations in Mumbai and recovered drugs worth Rs 2,25,75,000. Further investigation is on."
