A 20-year-old woman from Dharavi has been booked under sections of POCSO Act for allegedly abusing and sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy from Bihar.
The woman has also filed a police complaint against the minor and his father, four uncles and a cousin for allegedly raping her.
The Dharavi police currently probing both cases, said, as per the complaint filed by the minor's family, the woman and the minor got to know each other through social media in September 2020 and had been chatting. The woman allegedly proposed to the boy a number of times, but the boy rejected her and even blocked her. She later opened other profiles using different names and got in touch with him.
The boy then came to his relative's house in Mumbai looking for a job on January 19. After the woman learnt of this, she invited him over to her house in Dharavi to meet her parents. But when the boy arrived, allegedly there was no one else there and the woman forced herself on him.

A police officer said, "The girl then asked the boy to do whatever she wanted to, failing which she threatened to file a case against him and his family. She called the boy to several places, including a lodge in Vashi, and allegedly sexually assaulted him. The minor eventually narrated the ordeal to his parents, following which they came to Mumbai and told the woman to stay away."
"The woman then left her house and started living with a friend. Last month, she approached Navi Mumbai police, complaining that the boy, his father, his four uncles and a cousin raped her. Navi Mumbai police transferred the case to Dharavi police," the officer said.
The minor's family has secured anticipatory bail. They then approached Dharavi police alleging that the woman had abused their son and accordingly, the police registered a case against the woman."
