A 35-year-old Andheri East resident was arrested by the Sahar police for allegedly molesting a seven-year-old girl of his neighbourhood on Monday.
According to police sources, the accused had a record of harassing children in the locality. A year ago, the victim's mother had caught him in the act. She had, therefore, asked the children to stay away from the accused.
However, her seven-year-old daughter fell prey to the accused recently. While she was out, the accused touched her inappropriately.
Her brother, an eyewitness, informed the parents who sought help of social worker Intekhab Faruki.
