In a viral video, a man was seen riding a car while sitting on its bonnet in Bandra area on Monday night. The man, identified as Mohammad Imran Ansari (27) and the driver Mohammad Gulfam Ansari (25), both residents of Kurla's MHADA Colony, have been arrested. The accused are drivers who work with a private company.

According to Bandra Police, on Monday around 8.50 pm, a man was riding on the bonnet of a white colored Maruti Suzuki S-presso car which was speeding on Worli-Sea Link Road towards BKC. When the incident's video started going viral on social media, the Mumbai Police Control Room alerted Bandra Police about it. Police sprung into action and tried to trace the car by going on that route but was unsuccessful. They then registered an FIR in the case under IPC sections 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others) on the basis of a complaint of constable Baburao Sandse of Bandra Police.

Bandra Police later traced and arrested the accused from Kurla. DCP Manjunath Singhe told mid-day that both of them have been arrested and their medical test has been done.
