An FIR has been lodged against a Mumbai-based entrepreneur and firm partner who reportedly molested a 43-year-old woman in a building lift. The woman, a wedding planner, filed a complaint stating that the 38-year-old male molested her in the lift on April 29 of this year, reported PTI.
According to the report, the incident occurred in a high-rise building in Khar, where the accused and survivor live on the first and second floors, respectively.
According to the complaint, the accused followed the woman into the lift, using profane language and groping her, causing her anxiety. She eventually told her family members about the ordeal.
"He allegedly followed the woman in the lift. He spoke to her in obscene language and groped her, which left her shaken and scared. She started crying. After coming out of the lift, she narrated her ordeal to her family members," the police said.

The accused has not yet been apprehended, and an inquiry is underway under Sections 354, 509, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, which addresses outraging a woman's modesty, insulting her modesty, and criminal intimidation, respectively, the report added.
In another incident, the Mumbai police nabbed a 70-year-old man from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, who had been dodging authorities in a kidnapping and rape case for the previous 40 years.
The offender, identified as Papa alias Dawood Bandu Khan, was apprehended by a team from the Dr Dadabhai Bhadkamkar Marg police station in south Mumbai on Wednesday, another PTI report stated.
According to the report, Khan was given bail in 1984 after being accused of kidnapping and rape in response to a woman's complaint, but he failed to appear in court, resulting to his declaration as an absconder.
Despite years of efforts by police teams to locate him, Khan remained unreachable until recently, when investigators learned of his whereabouts in Agra. Following this tip, a police team was deployed to Agra, where Khan was captured with his family. He was transported back to Mumbai on transit remand and will appear in court for further proceedings, the report added.
