A man allegedly died of an electric shock while he was in the process of cleaning a water tank at a bike and car washing centre in Jogeshwari area of Mumbai, a police official said on Friday.
One person was arrested in connection with the matter, the official said.
The deceased was identified as Shankar Kurhade.
He died from an electric shock while cleaning the water tank of a washing center and the Jogeshwari police later arrested a man who was identified as Ajay Umbarkar in connection with the incident, the police said.

He was later produced before court.
"The incident occurred at the Sai Shraddha Washing Center in Jogeshwari. Three days ago, Ajay Umbarkar approached Shankar, who worked as a daily wage labourer, informing him that the water tank at the washing center needed cleaning. Shankar agreed to help and left with Ajay," an official said.
At around 1:30 pm, Shankar's wife heard a scream and rushed outside to find him unconscious while cleaning the water tank.
"He was immediately admitted to a hospital in Jogeshwari, where doctors declared him dead," the official said.
Further inquiry revealed that Shankar was cleaning the tank with an another person namely Ramesh. While Shankar was inside the tank, Ramesh stood outside holding the security rope attached to the cleaning machine. Suddenly, Shankar began shaking violently due to an electric shock from the tank wall and soon fell unconscious, the official said.
"The Jogeshwari police rushed to the spot following the incident and based on the complaint filed by Shankar's wife, the police registered a case and, upon investigation, arrested Ajay Umbarkar," said an official.
