A Pollywood actress filed a complaint a complaint with the Mumbai Police after she reportedly found her morphed photos on social media platforms, the police said.
On her complaint, the police registered FIR and launched investigations in the matter, the police said.
The actress also alleged that the person who circulated the morphed nude photos of her also threatened to rape her. She approached the Versova police and registered the FIR, an official said.
The official said that the 37-year-old actress, works in the film industry, particularly in Punjabi films. Recently, she discovered that the accused was sharing her morphed nude photos on different social media sites, and even sent these photos to her followers. The Versova police are collaborating with the cyber police to trace the accused.

According to police officials, the actress has an Instagram fan following page and on December 27, the actress received a call from her friend who informed her that someone had uploaded her morphed photos on social media, and the person had also shared all the photos with her fans. The actress instructed her friend to convey a message to the accused to remove all the photos from the websites.
The suspect did not remove any of the photos, sources said. The actress then immediately approached the cyber police.
Speaking with mid-day, the actress said, "I am hoping that the accused will be arrested soon. He is spreading my morphed photos on social media. I have registered the FIR."
The official added, the suspect also sent the morphed nude photos to the actress's parents on their mobile numbers. Her parents promptly blocked the numbers. Later, the actress informed her friend to instruct the accused not to share such kinds of photos. The suspect told the actress's friend to inform the actress that he would rape her in a few days.
