The cops seized the scooty and took a picture of the two men who had jumped the signal
The Khar police recovered a Scooty during nakabandi on Sunday almost after two weeks of it being stolen from Goregaon West.
After the two accused jumped a signal at SV Road, the traffic police personnel at the spot caught hold of them and asked for the licence and vehicle papers but they could not produce the documents. Though the cops seized the Scooty and told them to bring the documents, they did not return.
On-duty traffic constables Sanjay Dalvi and Sanjukumar Stonavane had taken a picture of the accused and carted the bike to the police station.

"The accused were told to bring the documents and take back the bike within an hour but they did not return. We checked the bike number in the e-challan application and got the owner's [Vijay Shukla] number," said Dalvi. He further said, "When we called Shukla and told him about the incident, he said that the bike had been stolen and he had filed a complaint regarding the same at Goregaon police station on July 12. After informing senior police inspector Vishal Khaire, we immediately called up the Goregaon police."
After getting back his Scooty, Shukla thanked the police through a tweet. Speaking to mid-day, he said, "I hope the police arrest the accused soon."
