Pydhonie police unearth job racket in Noida, 3 arrested

The Pydhonie police have unearthed a fake call centre in Noida, which was involved in cheating job seekers. The call centre was running inside a flat in a residential area.

In April, a resident of Pydhonie had approached the police claiming he was cheated by some people, who had promised him a job.

He told the police that he had uploaded his resume on a popular job portal and received a call regarding it. The alleged official told him that he had been selected for a job in a bank. The imposters asked the man to send Rs 1.38 lakh on various pretexts.

After sending the money, the complainant didn't receive a reply. So, suspecting a fraud, he rushed to the police station. After registration of the offence, a dedicated team was formed under the guidance of DCP (zone 2) Rajiv Jain.

During a technical analysis, the team found out that calls were made from a village near Noida. The team raided a flat in Sector 50 of village Mamura. The police have arrested Kailashchand Ramchandra, 29, Satish Kumar Singh, 27, and Geeta Singh, 27. All of them were living in one house in Noida. All the accused were presented before the court, were remanded to police custody till August 9.
