A 28-year-old man allegedly strangled his wife to death over an argument at their house in Maharashtra's Thane city, police said on Saturday.
The police have arrested Anil Laxman Lokhande for allegedly killing his wife Meena (25) at their house in Indira Nagar area of Kalwa on Friday, senior inspector Manohar Awhad said.

The couple used to frequently fight over petty issues and in the early hours of Friday, the accused strangled his wife, he said.

After being alerted about the incident, the police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem, the official said.
A case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused, he added.
