I was at Leopold Cafe on Thursday to celebrate the anniversary of the unfortunate events of 26/11 and yes, I say celebrate because that is exactly what we did!

Even as the walls still had scars of that heartless attack, amidst those bullet marks, flocked hundreds of Mumbaikars to rock all night long to a live band that belted out songs dedicated to our martyrs.

Mumbai truly rocked in every sense of the word. We celebrated the bravery, the sacrifice and the indomitable spirit of Mumbaikars.

A terrorist by definition attempts to strike fear in the hearts of people, I felt they'd failed! Thousands of Mumbaikars bravely marched out hand in hand, in a show of solidarity and remembrance... it was overwhelming!

That's when it occurred to me, yes, we will never forget... but how do we intend to remember 26/11? How do we intend to make a real change? We must be the change to make the change!

We, the youth, the future of this great nation, are so often accused of being indifferent to the politics and governance of our country.

But I saw with my own eyes, the intensity and dedication with which the youth came forward to commemorate this event.

I think we all care... and very deeply.... but we need a non-political platform to translate all that emotion into a practical and achievable change.

This topic is my own humble little attempt to invite all you amazing people to make a difference with your thoughts and ideas to get together and make a difference.

We can move mountains with our unity and an honest, innovative idea. Since we are the future... let's make our future together. In all humility, a proud Indian VO.
