While the stationery business in the city is experiencing a 10-20 per cent increase in sales with schools and colleges opening up, manufacturers and traders' associations are of the opinion that if the situation doesn't become normal in the next six months, over 500 shops will shut down.

Federation of Stationery Manufacturing and Traders Association Secretary Kishor Kenia said, "Over the past two years, stationery business has almost reached level zero. With schools and colleges opening up, there has been a 10-20 per cent increase in sales, but if things don't go back to normal in the next couple of months then only 40 per cent of the shops in Mumbai will survive."
