The youngster was speeding and lost control of her Honda City, crashingu00a0 into five vehicles and hurting a fruit vendorDisha Mehta, a 20 year-old resident of Lokhandwala in Andheri, was driving a white Honda City at 150 kmph on Saturday afternoon, when she rammed into three cars and two scooters parked opposite the Hindu Gymkhana across Marine Drive promenade.
Mehta's 14 year-old brother Aakash and 21 year-old friend Kruti Mulchandani were also in the car when the accident occured at 3.30 pm.

Mehta lost control of the car and rammed into a pole, and later into five vehicles parked on the side of the road. Salauddin Shaikh, a banana seller sitting on the footpath, sustained injuries on his head and leg.
The police arrested Mehta on the spot and booked her under sections 279, 337, 427 of the Indian Penal Code for rash and negligent driving, causing damage to property and hit and runu00a0-- all bailable offences.
All four were rushed to GT Hospital, near GPO in Dhobi Talao for treatment. Shaikh received stitches and was later sent home.
Reports revealed that Mehta was not driving under the influence of alcohol. "None of the girls were under the influence of alcohol, but we have taken their blood and hair samples, as per protocol," a doctor at the hospital told Sunday MiD DAY.
"Disha was with her brother and one of her friends when the accident occurred. The car is damaged, but none of them sustained major injuries," said senior police inspector Zunjarrao Maruti Gharal of Marine Drive Police Station.
