2002 hit-n-run case: Bandra police conducts a re-construction trail

Police Inspector Rajendra Kane, on Friday midnight, conducted a re construction trail outside American Bakery at Hill road where Salman Khan allegedly ran his Land cruiser over some pavement dwellers.

According to the original case history, a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by Salman in a drunk state rammed into a bakery in suburban Bandra in the wee hours of September 28, 2002, running over the people sleeping outside.

The high profile case has seen lots of twist in the thirteen year old case. The prosecution alleges that Salman Khan was driving when his Toyota Land Cruiser rammed a bakery near his sea-front home in Mumbai. His blood samples showed high alcohol content much more than normal.

Eye witnesses report seeing Salman getting out from the driver's seat. In the court, while some witnesses turned hostile, Salman asserted that had not taken drinks before the mishap that his driver was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.
