Advocate K B N Lam, the very lawyer who had filed a petition against Anjali Waghmare's representation of Ajmal Amir Qasab, has now signed on to defend Sabauddin.
Indian citizens Sabauddin and Fahim Ansari are the co-accused in the 26/11 trial along with Qasab.
Speaking to reporters outside Arthur Road Jail, Lam confirmed that he had signed the waqalat nama to represent Sabauddin in the trial and that Ejaz Naqvi, the advocate who had been previously defending both of the Indians accussed, had requested Lam to do so.
Lam was also one of the advocates who has volunteered to represent Qasab but the responsibility had been given to Waghmare earlier this month.
