A day after mid-day reported about St Blaise High School in Andheri shutting down the school for a week due to water shortage and Ganpati Holidays (âWater cut shuts down school', September 16), officials from the BMC K West ward office confirmed that the school received water on Wednesday.
While officials at the school were not available for comment, civic officials said the water distribution timing was changed so as to ensure that the school gets water during the day. "Our officers from the water works department visited the school on Tuesday and found out that the timing at which water is supplied to that area is too early for the school.
So Wednesday onwards, the water distribution timing was changed. Now the school should have no problem," said Parag Masurkar, assistant municipal commissioner of the ward. He added that had the school complained about this issue earlier, they could've solved the problem earlier too.
