The roads at the Bandra-Kurla Complex will undergo a makeover, with the MMRDA planning to pave 10 km of roads in the complex with cement-concrete

The roads at the Bandra-Kurla Complex will undergo a makeover, with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) planning to pave 10 km of roads in the complex with cement-concrete, reports the DNA.

The executive committee of the authority, in a meeting held recently, gave clearance to concretising of roads in the G-Text and G-N blocks of the complex. According to the proposal, both the blocks have macadam asphalt roads, which are nearly 10 years' old.

The proposal said the roads were frequently damaged -- especially during the monsoon -- resulting in problems for motorists.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 121.60 crore. MMRDA spokesperson Dilip Kawathkar told DNA that the work is expected to be over by 2010.
