Models, starlets, college students and struggling TV artistes have broken into the stranglehold of Southeast Asian escort agencies. Sources say a huge part of the market has now been taken over by Indian escort girls.
"Indian women are much prettier than Thai or Singaporeans and Indian men favour them," said a source.
Lara (name changed) from Indian Escorts said, "I am in this profession for the last four years. In the last one year the demand for Indian escorts has grown. And this will especially true during the New Year.

Priya (name changed), an escort from Pune, said, "I often go with Indian clients to Dubai and Bangkok and stay with them for the entire duration of the trip.

Said Lara, "We get air tickets with the date and contact details of the client. Most stay back till January as the flow of Indian visitors always remains high."

Said an escort agent Rohit (name changed) from Mumbai, "Few years ago, escort agencies in India were far behind Singapore and Bangkok, but not any more.
