Central Railway train services were thrown out of gear after an OHE cable snapped between Thane and Parsik tunnel.

This resulted in trains running around 25 minutes from 5 pm. This was not all, at Currey Road station, a CST bound local stopped halfway through the platform and half of the passengers on board had to get down on the tracks leading to chaos at 5.10 pm.

The train had developed some problems forcing the driver to halt even before the train had entered the platform.

At 7 pm, train services were running 15 to 20 minutes late.
