A 20-year-old class XII student from Madhya Pradesh was arrested in connection a threat call made to Air India’s Thane call-centre last week. The accused, who had threatening to hijack an AI flight on Saturday, claimed that he had done it “just out of fun”

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-V, Vilas Chandanshive of Srinagar Police station, the accused was nabbed from Harda district, Madhya Pradesh, on Friday.

He was produced before a local court which remanded him to police custody till December 2. The youth is a Class XII student. When the hoax call was received, the ATS and Intelligence Bureau had also been roped, considering the gravity of the call.
