Former Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, whose suspension from the Congress was revoked, recently, is likely to be inducted in the state cabinet, party sources said on Thursday.
The over two-month-old Ashok Chavan-led Congress-NCP ministry will be expanded today, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said. Rane was suspended in December last for his outbursts against the party leadership following Chavan's appointment to the state's top job.
The other names doing the rounds are former MPCC chief Govindrao Adik, Dilip Deshmukh, brother of former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and former minister Naseem Khan.
