Constable succumbs to injuries

A 25-year-old Mumbai-based police constable, who was wounded in a clash that took place in a Nashik hotel, succumbed to his injuries in a Nashik hospital, police said on Friday.


A 25-year-old Mumbai-based police constable, who was wounded in a clash that took place in a Nashik hotel, succumbed to his injuries in a Nashik hospital, police said on Friday.

The deceased, Navanath Mukund Karate, died last night, they said.

Karate got injured, when he along with his friend Mohan Shinde, had gone to a hotel where he got into a physical brawl with the manager, they said.

In the ensuing squabble, Karate received head injuries and was immediately rushed to a private hospital, they said.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the hotel's manager and its employees, police added.
