The sisters had abducted the woman's four-month-old son and threatened that they would kill him if she refused to fulfil their customers' physical needs or decided to quit the job.

One of the sisters was arrested in the raid and an FIR was lodged at 1 am.

Acting on a complaint from an NGO, Operation Rahab, the police raided Fiza beauty parlour on Link Road in Kandivli (W) and rescued Ruby (name changed) from the clutches of Rashida and Hasina Bepari.

"The sisters forced Ruby to meet their customers' demands.

They had abducted her four-month-old son and asked her to give them Rs 10,000 if she wanted to quit or they would kill him. One of our officials posed as a customer, rescued Ruby and arrested Rashida," said a police official who was part of the raid.

The child is still in Hasina's custody, who is absconding. "An FIR is being lodged and investigation is underway," said Inspector Laxman Chauhan of the Kandivli police.
