The Bombay High Court passed an interim order yesterday to allow Eros Multimedia release its film Billu in Bihar and Jharkhand on the condition of a deposit of Rs 33.5 lakh.

The Bombay High Court passed an interim order yesterday to allow Eros Multimedia release its film Billu in Bihar and Jharkhand on the condition of a deposit of Rs 33.5 lakh.

Vijay Laxmi Movies Pvt Ltd had filed a complaint with the Bihar and Jharkhand Motion Pictures Association, alleging that they had an agreement for the distribution and exhibition rights for Bihar and Jharkhand of films made by Eros. However, Eros gave the rights for Billu to Maa Sona Films.

The counsel for Eros argued, "The film should be allowed to release in all over India else it will encourage piracy and the company will face huge losses."
