A police officer said that the IPL betting issue is just one reason behind Chindi's death.
Chindi had a CD of a meeting of the D gang members and his associates. He also had two mobile phones that contained incriminating data.
One of Chindi's close associates said, "The CD was a recording of the D gang associates and relatives, who met after the death of Dawood's brother Noora.
It also showed the politicians who had come to meet Dawood to offer their condolences."u00a0 The associate added, "The mobile phones' memory cards had the names of people from Mumbai who are involved in the IPL betting syndicate."
According to the police, Chindi had the mobile phones and the CD before his death. However, after his death, all the three items have gone missing.
