Mumbai: An Emirates flight from Sydney to Dubai was diverted to the city airport, where it made an emergency landing after two passengers reported sick.
The emergency landing took place after a 22-year-old male passenger, Stiffen Spatino from Australia, reported chest pain.
Soon another passenger, a 64 year-old woman, Carmel Henson, also from Australia, reported high blood pressure, a Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) spokesperson said.
Both the passengers along with the husband of the elderly woman as well as the parents of the youth were offloaded at the airport at around 1410 hrs, he added.
The plane left for its destination without the affected passengers at 1546 hrs.
The airline could not be immediately reached for comments.
