Extortion case: Gawli's brother gets bail

The Bombay High Court granted bail to Vijay Ahir, brother of don-turned-politician Arun Gawli, in an extortion case on the surety of Rs 50,000.


The Bombay High Court granted bail to Vijay Ahir, brother of don-turned-politician Arun Gawli, in an extortion case on the surety of Rs 50,000.


Arun Gawli, MLA from the Akhil Bharatiya Sena and his brother Ahir were arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on charges of extortion last year.


They were arrested for threatening a city-based builder for ransom.
