Ravi Gaikwad is a reputable name and known personality in Mumbai. This versatile individual has several shining feathers in his cap and yet he constantly amazes people with his humility and endurance. Apart from being an HSC topper in the entire state, going on to becoming a double gold-medalist in electronics engineering, with a remarkable feat achieved of having scored 100/100 in two subjects of his final year of Engineering.
Ravi Gaikwad's impressive academics have paved way for his stellar career in diverse fields. Acknowledging his exceptional professional achievements and contribution in society's upliftment, the Indian Achievers Forum has awarded him the Man of Excellence Award 2020. He recently received the Legends Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
Currently serving as the Chief of RTO for Thane (Maharashtra - Konkan range), Ravi Gaikwad was also recently awarded by the Hon. Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray for significantly succeeding in bringing down the number of deaths and road accidents by spreading awareness regarding road safety. In fact, his social campaigns have always been a huge success owing to the hard work and diligence he puts in executing them. His philanthropic ways and his habit of contributing more than his share of responsibilities towards society has made him a popular and respectable personality.
Ravi Gaikwad is also an immense fan of cricket. He had represented the sport at a professional level in his youth and had gone up to the Ranji Trophy Camp as well. His efforts in this field have also been recognized and appreciated by the people and government alike where he organized many cricketing events and also included cricket players in serving social causes in the country. One such example is the Road Safety Match he organized in 2017 to create awareness about the subject with the current players of the time. He is the founder the Road Safety World Series T20 cricket tournament this year with an aim to inspire social change in the country in terms of people's attitude towards behaviour on the roads regarding driving, riding, or even walking. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic altered the original schedules. Besides cricket, Ravi Gaikwad also supports other sports and encourages opportunities for them as well. He is the chairman of Handball Federation of India, the president of Handball Association of Maharashtra, and the president of Uttarakhand Football Federation.

Ravi Gaikwad is the proud holder of not one, but two impressive Guinness World Records, one for the largest handball class and another for the largest world safety class. For him, the sky seems to be the limit and he probably won't stop till he achieves his goal that he has set course for.
