Cops say one grabbed the others while trying to save himselfIn a freak accident, four men fell out of a running train when the first man who lost balance, pulled out three others in a bid to save himself. The train was going towards Byculla railway station when the incident occurred between Kurla and Sion railway tracks at around 11.30am.
The victims are Sheikh Hussein and Manoj Singh Rawat, both of who are in a serious condition while the other two Nitin Rawal (19) and D Kartikan (25) are in stable condition. All of them have been admitted to Sion hospital. According to the railway police officials, all of them fell because they were each trying not to lose their balance.
Nitin Rawal lives in Thane west and Kartikan lives in postal colony, Chembur. Kartikan has got head injuries and bruises all over his body, Rawat has fractured one hand and a leg. Both are recovering from their injuries.
However, Rawat and Hussein are in bad condition and police is waiting for their relatives to come.
Dilip Gore, senior police inspector of Kurla railway police station, said, "We still haven't got a clear picture of the accident; who pulled whom to save himself. The train was overcrowded and that's why it happened."
