Women constables comb ladies' compartments for explicit messages soliciting sex and massage

The Government Railway Police (GRP), Mumbai Central, is launching a crackdown on offenders who stick sleazy posters, and write numbers of sex workers on the walls of the ladies' compartments in local trains, following complaints by women commuters.

Teams of female constables will comb all ladies compartments on the Western route for such messages, and book the people responsible. Mumbai Central GRP Inspector B G Rane said "I have asked women constables to check all ladies compartments and collect unauthorised and obscene writings inside them. We will check on these numbers and take action against all those, who are into any illegal activity. The jottings are a big embarrassment for women commuters."
