Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor will have to answer the court about the efforts made by the police in finding the baby that was stolen from Sion Hospital on January 1.

Today, the Bombay High Court will hear out Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor on the investigation progress.

In its last hearing, the court had ordered the suspension of Dr Swapnil Kore and nurse Shobha Parab from Sion hospital. Both of them were suspended by the BMC yesterday as per the orders of the court.

Advocate Amit Karkhanis, who represents the complainant, told MiD DAY, "The court has ordered the commissioner to appear in court today. We do not know what will happen in the court, as it depends upon the Magistrate. We have filed a writ petition and all the orders to the BMC or the Commissioner are ordered by the court."

A lady from the post-natal ward of Sion hospital had allegedly kidnapped Mohan and Mohini Nerurkar's four-day-old baby on January 1. Later, they filed a writ petition in the High Court.
