The Bombay High Court sought a report from state and MCGM authorities in the Sion hospital infant abduction case.
Two-day-old son of Mohan and Mohini Nerurkar was stolen from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital (also called Sion hospital) on January 1 this year.
The child and the lady who stole him are yet to be traced. Nerurkars filed habeas corpus petition in the High Court last week.
Today, the division bench of Justices Bilal Nazki and Anup Mohta was told that hospital authorities had set up an internal inquiry committee, and its report had been submitted to municipal commissioner.

But the court asked what action had been taken against hospital staff. A report on the action taken so far is to be filed within a week.
Hospital's visiting hours are 4 pm onwards, but the lady who allegedly stole the child was seen in the maternity ward at around 7 am, the Nerurkars' lawyer claimed.
